I want a laptop that is comfortable for my eyes and doesn't give me nausea in the stomach or a headache because except for Mac, trademarks like Asus, Acer or HP have given me those issues (average tier for daily use, not gaming). Windows or Mac? Linux :) I've been using some flavours of Linux for over 20 years, they have come a long way since the dark days, and they are more user friendly, but a little less beginner friendly than Windows, and massively less beginner friendly than Mac. Although it is not beginner friendly, their power is in what you can change and configure (if you know what you are doing). Linux runs on the same hardware as Windows but is more stable than Windows, and keeps it speed over the years without having to reinstall.

Not all VA panels have low response times, Look at LG ultragear for example, My LG Ultragear 32gn600-b has a 165hz refresh rate and 1ms response time
